Perfect Jewish Couple was a Minimal Synth/New Wave band from the Cincinatti, OH area active between 1983-1988. Though the lineup included up to six people when playing live, the founding members are Kelly Hale and Shari Lauter. Kelly did vocals, lyrics, percussion, and Shari did keyboards, violin, music composition, programming, engineering & production.

The name comes from an offhand remark made by a mutual friend. Shari recorded their first song on her Dokorder 7140 and played it for Kelly, who quickly penned lyrics, and just like that, The Fall was born. Shari referred to this as "the easiest songwriting process ever," and would have been shocked at that time to know that due to its inclusion on A Tribute to Flexi-Pop Volume 9, it would reach a fan base around the world.

Shari Louter has upgraded her Dokorder 4-track to a full digital recording studio. PJC is releasing a new compliation, Time Capsule, in April of 2007. Their ballad, "Nuclear Blues", is also being released on German vinyl label Anna Logue Records. .
