Slaktattack (Slaughter Attack) was formed in Gothenburg, Sweden in February 2002. Yxan (vocals) and Krea (guitar) had thought of the name years earlier, and at a friend's 30:th birthday party they finally got their act together. Then Svanne (guitar), Nippa (bass) and Plytet (drums) were drafted and the band began writing songs in the raw punk vein.

Initially Plytet played the bass and Nippa was the drummer. Banging out the D-beat rhythms came more naturally to Plytet however, and anyone who has seen Nippa wave a bass guitar around can clearly see how them switching instruments was best for the band.

2003 they released their first CD-R "Lagen Om Alltings Jävlighet" (something like Murphy's Law). A year later the follow-up "Kontaminerad" (Contaminated) was made. These recordings enabled Slaktattack to play a few gigs around Sweden.

In November 2004 Svanne realized he couldn't make it to a couple of shows since he was about to become a father. Domarn (guitar) was called in as a temporary replacement. He fit in well and agreed to become a permanent member in January 2005. Svanne never really left, so when he could sneak out of the house for gigs again, Slaktattack was a six-piece band.

In 2005 the new three guitar line-up recorded 10 new songs. (That can be found on the promo-CD-R "Vanvettets Triumf") Six of which are released on the split-EP (Evigt Lidande Prod. 2006) with fellow Swedes Aktiv Dödshjälp.

Late 2006 the band recorded 5 new songs (4 own + 1 cover of Doom's "After The Bomb"). These tracks you can hear on the latest CD-R: "Promo 2007". The band has up to this date played more then 20 gigs in sweden and are looking forward to play live outside the swedish borders.

Slaktattack is made up of some old farts joined by their love of raw D-beat crust punk. They have no ulterior motive. All they want to do is play harsh, simple and fast. If there is a message, it´s only: Think for yourself! .
