Smackos is one of the aliases under which Danny Blanco (of Legowelt fame) releases his music. Smackos has released two albums so far, 'The Age of Candy Candy' (2004) and 'Waiting for the Red Bear' (2006), both on Blanco's own record label Strange Life.
The albums both tell a story through their songs. 'The Age of Candy Candy' presumably embroiders on the adventures of a naive girl named Candy in a grown-up world.'Waiting for the Red Bear' tells the story of a small Canadian town, the inhabitants of which are convinced that a soviet nuclear strike on their city is imminent, while the little town's domestic airport is frequented by the mysterious 'Unicorns Airlines.'
The music can be described as low-paced electronics, leaning towards ambient at times. .
