SneakerFreaks music is best described as songwriterpop. The Dutch band is in an ongoing search of the perfect popsong. Influences: Rufus Wainwright, Jeffrey Foucault, Paul McCartney, Ani diFranco, Paul Simon.

Debut album GO was launched in march 2006, the first single School was accidentally recorded in the Radio 3FM studio in the Netherlands.

During the GO promotion tour SneakerFreak appeared a lot on national radio (Radio 1, Radio 2, 3FM) and opened for some great acts: Starsailor, Heather Nova, Spinvis, The Veils. In april 2006 their debut album GO could be heard in the LUISTERPAAL at VPRO 3VOOR12. GO used to be for sale in musicstores in Holland en Belgium, at www.youmakemusic.com and at their homepage www.sneakerfreak.nl, but nowadays best obtainable by buying it at one of their concerts.

In 2007 a drummer and a bassplayer joined the group, they were asked to make the soundtrack of a catwalkshow for Dutch designer Ilja Visser.

As of April 23 2008 Sneakerfreak has changed its name to People You Know. The reason for this change was the association of their name with urban music. They wanted a name which reflected their type of music better. .
