The Chazz Cats were among the earliest of the San Francisco Bay Area swing revivalists. The Chazz Cats played a unique brand of Jumpin Jazz & Roadhouse Swing throughout Northern California. Led by the sultry vocals of Delilah Monroe, the Chazz Cats perform swing, jump and blues tunes from the 20's, 30's and 40's. Their debut release, "Roadhouse Swing," has been distibuted around the world and is regularly played by Djs on stations and in clubs wherever the beat of swing is heard. The Chazz Cats are also featured on the "HiBall Sessions" disc, and have a track on Elektra Record's Swing compilation, "Jump Up and Boogie."

The Cats' second effort is entitled "E Swingus Vitus" - featuring songs that kept the Cats' fans hopping at their high-energy shows as well as original material. The CD features an addition to the Chazz Cats line up, Pete Cornell, on baritone and tenor saxophones. Pete, a veteren of the local swing scene through his work as a founding member of Steve Lucky and the Rhumba Bums, brings his smooth playing and ear for great arrangements to the band, expanding the sound of the horn section with tight, tastey parts. Guests on a variety of other instruments keep the sound of "E Swingus Vitus" jumping and fresh.

The Chazz Cats' repertoire consists of material by great Swing Era artists such as Duke Ellington, Louie Jordan, Fats Waller and Benny Goodman, as well as songs originally made popular by Ella Fitzgerald, Louie Prima, Billie Holiday, and Peggy Lee. The sound is hot, and the band can really swing. The Chazz Cats were regular crowd-pleasers at San Francisco's Cafe du Nord, the HiBall Lounge and the Deluxe, as well as the Derby in LA. .
