The Sacred Sailors was formed in 2001, when two friends and music enthusiasts decided to start a band. Together with two other friends from the neighbourhood, the foursome started to rehearse in a basement near Partille, outside Gothenburg, Sweden.

After a year or so the foursome became a quintet. This led to the band increasing their sound and starting to find a musical platform that combined the five different personalities with their mutual good taste for music.

It might sound like a rock´n´roll cliché, and it just might be one! But there’s nothing common about the sound of The Sacred Sailors. The way they’ve improved rock music of today will be appreciated by generations to come! With influences like Grand Funk Railroad, Damnation of Adam Blessing, Bob Seger & The Last Heard, Attack, MC5, Roky Erickson, The Frost, Shocking Blue and more modern bands like Union Carbide Productions, and Kula Shaker, The Sacred Sailors have succeeded in combining good old rock´n´roll with a timeless and modern sound!

During these four years The Sacred Sailors already have managed to put out one killer 7”, released by the great record label Crusher Records, and the full length album “We Gave It All To You”, released by the German label Lonestar Records. Both records got great reviews by magazines all over the world.

There’s no question that The Sacred Sailors are one of the best live acts of today. To see them perform live is an experience of a lifetime! These five rockin´guys will guarantee you a night of sex, blood and rock´n´roll music!

Fresh & driving rock'n'roll that draws on the rock and psych sounds of the 60s and 70s.

The Sacred Sailors - 5 Youngbloods from different places all around Gothenburg. When listenig to their Debut Album, you will recognise two things at once: Their songwriting skills and their easy bein’ when it comes to play great rock. This aspect is even more breath-takin’ when you consider their young age, but play together for at least 4 years. So in my eyes they are already much further than most of their colleagues.

The Sacred Sailors didn’t improve the Rock’n’Roll for new, but I think they present it in a way that’s unbelievable fresh. Mixing up a rock-bastard between the Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bob Seger System and many 60's, 70's garage rock bands, they sure know how to please.

Next to all of those more or less hyped "The"-Rock’n’Roll bands, the Sacred Sailors are rockin’ their way straight forward and looking for their space (and sure gonna find plenty of fans).

After getting their demo around Christmas 2003, Lonestar Records didn’t hesitate very long and gave those young Swedish fellows a contract, sent em into the studio in the summer of 2004 and releases their album in the fall of 2004 (Nov. 04). In the spring of 2005 it’s the time for the Sacred Sailor’s first European tour and we’re all looking forward to that.

This time there is no huge major label in the back of the band that won’t be able put up a huge campaign to get things started and the band didn’t come in the arms of a well-known producer, who tells ‘em what to do (it’s actually the Sacred Sailors who produced all of their songs themselves). But this all shouldn’t be a disadvantage, cause the musical quality is outstanding and it’s there without a doubt!

And history was written...
