The Spills are a band born and raised in Wakefield, West Yorkshire (England).

The Spills, at first, are most easily compared to bands such as Nirvana and Nine Black Alps, as they have a fuzzy alt rock sound, whilst having a keen pop sensibility. They have evolved since their inception and have forged a sound of their own. Songs, such as "Holidays" and "Rhyme Of The Ancient Alabastard," are a testament to the fact that The Spills have an ear for great pop/rock tunes as well as the heart to play those tunes in a manner that reverberates loudly, emotionally unapologetic, in an indie-rock storm that implicates its soul's origin in the dirty spirit of punk-rock.

Local Wakefield record labels released The Spills' first singles, "Safety In Numbers" on Louder Than Bombs in 2007 and, in 2009, "I'm Scared I Might / Faux Pas Ha Ha" - the band's initial release on Philophobia Music.

To date, Philophobia Music remains The Spills' label and, on July 19, 2010, released their debut EP, "Smoke Signals," featuring the aforementioned "Holidays."

"Occam's Razor" - The Spills' first full-length album - followed with a Halloween release, October 31st, 2011.
