Ticket for Tibet is an annual Dutch festival that tries to educate people about the traditional Tibetan way of life, and by doing so help in preserving it.

In 2008 the musicians Peter Slager and Bas Kennis (BlΓΈf), Anneke van Giersbergen (Agua de Annique), Loten Namling, Bart van der Weide (Racoon), JW Roy, Dennis van Leeuwen (Kane), Jeroen Goossens and Gerard van Maasakkers participated to create a song for the festival, which was published under the name of the festival.

The song Als Je Ooit Nog Eens Terug Kan was inspired by the courage and perseverance of three young Tibetan women that sang a protestsong in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, and as a result were imprisonned for 6 years. Later the three women were able to flee the country. The earnings of the song's single go entirely to these three women.
