The immortal tale of those loveable skanks, Wobbly Bob begins, as all good stories do, in a pub in Huddersfield.

In 2006, after a night of Früli and Jager, three friends decided to form a band. But not just any band. Wobbly Bob would turn out to be a real Heineken moment for West Yorkshire. The fact that all the members met at University meant that they had come from all over the country - different experiences, different bands. This would bring a refreshing new sound to the current UK Ska Punk scene:

Jay Walshe (our long haired cliché of a drummer) started life in a Hair-metal band, called the Spandex Bandits.

Pete Dawes (the twat with the lip peircing and dreads who sings and plays guitar solos when he's not supposed to), played in several Ska bands, before arriving in Huddersfield.

Dana Amos , the other vocalist, was previously in a grunge band and has, untill recently, been working on solo projects such as singing at the Pontefract music festival and the Queen's Jubilee Festival in Osset. Other activities include appearing in dramas such as A Touch of Frost, Shameless and The Royal, to name but a few. She also like poetry and long walks in the park.

Alex Simpson , the bassist, has been in many bands including The Johnny Saville Mystery Project and Stinkfoot, and is an accomplished 'Cellist, Bassist and Opera Singer.

The horn section ( Brian Dickson on Alto/Tenor Sax, James Harvey on Tenor Trombone and the delectable Lucy Elmer on Trumpet), have clocked up an inhuman number of hours playing in concert bands, orchestras and busking in the streets all culminating in the chunky Skapoppers you see today, Wobbly Bob.

Past Members:
Beth Hudson (Alto Sax)
Garikai Garwe (Lead Vocalist)
Andy Moulster (Bassist)
Adam Steel (Bassist)

In case you were wondering, the name WOBBLY BOB comes from a very delicious and intoxicating Manchester Ale of the same name.

The Bob put on a partaaaay. Simple as that really: with a bunch of sexy tracks of their own and a smattering of ska'd up covers including Power Rangers and Ghostbusters! Their songs are awash with sarcastic cynicism and satire and the modern power rhythms behind all the choruses make for a bitchin' performance that everyone can skank and scream along to. Frequently they'll start a gig with CBA TBH, an anthem popular with the fans, about the irony of loners who'd rather spend time playing games and talking online than getting laid. To which the crowd screams back the chorus:

OMFG! I really CBA TBH!

Bands Wobbly Bob have played alongside include The Toasters, Jaya The Cat, Sonic Boom Six, Fandangle, Billy No Mates (feat. Duncan from SNUFF!), Hypo Psycho, Chindits, The Moot, Kiss My Brass, The Uprooters, Mr Workaday and a whole bunch of other amazing performers. The band have also been known to include guests in their show. The most prominent of which, have been Olivia Devlin (The sassy front-girl from Polkadot Shotgun) and Mikey Baird (from Mr Shiraz).

Current release: "Bob's Your Uncle" EP (2008)
Future release: Currently untitled commercial album (Late 2009)
