According to the band's official website Catastrophe Ballet was formed in 1989 by Eric Burton in Bitburg, Germany. In 1991 the first album "Monologues of the Past and the Future" was released from the band's own label (Etage Records) followed by touring along side acts such as Shadow Project, Mephisto Walz, and Faith & The Muse. The Catastrophe brings with them a vast array of influences that have laid the framework for the band to create music that is fresh, organic, and ever-growing. Over the past seven years the band has released an E.P. and 3 full-length albums that have continued to show the growth and maturity of their ever-evolving sound by gently nodding their heads toward their collective influences while creating a unique sound that they proudly wear on their sleeves.
