The 40th dying day of guitar god Hendrix was the reason for guitarist/arranger Mathijs Duringhof to start Scallymatizing the work of this legend and record it with his Scallymatic Orchestra. On Jimi's 70th birthday they now present: Band of Scallies. The cross-over of vintage grooves with soul and jazz, the energy and 'space', musicality and expiriment, great riffs and beautiful songs all are elements that fit the Scallymatic glove like nothing else. It's the Scallymatic Sound: a fresh mix of soul, jazz and 70s grooves.
