VOID CoNSTRUCT was formed in Southampton, England in about 1999 by Scott Walker (vocals) and Vicky Halliday (live synths) Their first two albums to date were released on Cryonica Records (run by London-based Inertia). Estramay Aleph demonstrated their creativity and, drawing on influences such as Haujobb, Front 242 and Front Line Assembly, their perverse sense of melody. The second album, Sensory Division was a technical leap forward and a definitive, punchy EBM release. Reconstruction was a band formed by John Kahn to occupy him while Jerry Garcia, his long-time musical collaborator, was busy with the Grateful Dead. The band's original guitar player was Jerry Miller, best-known for performing with Moby Grape. Garcia, who wanted to play in a jazz band, replaced Miller in 1979. Construcdead is a (melodic, on their 2nd album) death metal band with thrash influences. They were formed in 1999 by guitarists Christian, Rickard and drummer Erik from Stockholm, Sweden. Bassplayer Joakim Harju had just left "Face Down", whose other members scattered across the scene to join bands like the "The Haunted" and "Entombed".
