August Actually was an apocalyptic folk-rock four-piece from Nottingham, UK, who formed in March 2011 and went on hiatus in January 2015. Originally a 6-piece, over their four year career they released a 5 song EP (Songs From the Lighthouse), a double A-side single (Werewolf/Vampire), and, in January 2015, their debut album The Forever War which features 11 tracks from across the band's live career. The band played exactly 50 gigs, appearing on line-ups featuring the likes of Allo Darlin, Darren Hayman, and The Wave Pictures. Whispering Jack Smith, born John Schmidt, was a popular singer of the 20's and 30's. While he didn't actually whisper, he did sing softly and quietly, very close to his microphone, and often dropped into plain speech. This created an intimate effect that separated him from other singers of the time. Or did so, that is, up until he began to be widely imitated. Although it is true he inhaled some poison gas in World War I, this was not, as is sometimes stated, the reason for his vocal style. He was capable of singing loudly if he wanted to....

The idea of Whispering Woods came to life during 2008 when two good friends decided to start a musical project which would have as a main character the symphonic genre. Even though it was a common genre at the time and many bands had both commercial and stage success, the idea was kept alive by the thought of making a kind of musical show based on a conceptual idea. Sad Whisperings was a death doom metal band from Groningen, Netherlands, started in 1990 as Desecrate (Hol) but changed their name to Sad Whisperings in 1992. They released a self-titled demo in 1992, a full-length album titled "Sensitive to Autumn" in 1993 on Foundation 2000 Records, and three promo demos each in 1995, 1998 and 2003. The band existed on and off during the 1990s and restarted in 2002 with a female lead singer, but finally changed name to The Bleeding in 2004. .

Whispering Gallery (1995-2008) was a doom metal band from Amersfoort, Netherlands. They use a mixture of clean vocals and grunt. Lyrical themes are life's issues such as loneliness and pain. Band pictures feature religious symbols, but it's unknown if they're religious.
