Studying in a musical primary school and learning to play several musical instruments (three years of piano) both played a very important role in developing his musical competence. 1996: At this time, leaving the serious part-songs behind, he starts to be interested in electronic music instead. Nový Svět was a musical group formed in 1997 in Vienna, Austria that, while related with the apocalyptic folk scene, created an avant-garde melange of industrial, minimal electronic, krautrock, free jazz and noise. The lyrics, sung by Jürgen Weber, are mostly in Spanish or Italian, but also in English, Pseudo-Esperanto and German. Back in the 1990s, before his current job as stay-at-home dad to two beautiful children, Jon headlined at dozens of folk clubs, colleges and coffeehouses throughout the Northeast and Midwest.
