Zounds were a UK anarchist band formed in 1977 from loose jamming sessions around the Reading area. Originally they were part of the cassette culture movement, releasing material on the Fuck Off Records tape label, and were also involved in the squatting and free festival scene. The band met up with fellow anarchists Crass when, legend has it, their van broke down on the road. They made their way to nearby Dial House, where Crass were based, who helped them with repairs. Boundzound (civil name: Demba nabé) is a Berlin-based dancehall/reggae-musician and one of the three frontmen of the German dancehall-group seeed. In 2007 he released his first solo-album "Boundzound" and the two singles "Louder" and "Stay Alive". His second solo-album "Ear" was released in 2011. .
zzzounds (formerly Zounds) is the solo project of Australian musician Dave Drayton, formerly of Euripides Berserker, Between the Devil and the Deep and Milhouse. Based out of Sydney, New South Wales, the project began in 2009, in which Drayton recorded and released a five-song EP. More material has surfaced since, including a split seven-inch release with Nick Van Breda. The change from Zounds to zzzounds was made in 2012 in order to distinguish the project from other similarly-titled acts. .
