Over the course of several tours and record projects as a drummer (Filter, Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage, Morrissey) Matt Walker worked on his own music, writing in hotel rooms, on airplanes, behind stages, even on ferries. In early 2005 Matt approached vocalist, and fellow Chicagoan, JT McCluskey to help bring a few of his songs to completion. JT's vocals immediately brought a raw energy and new melodic scope to the songs, and the two soon recognized they had a powerful, creative chemistry. They began to collaborate on more songs, and named their project The Most Dangerous Race (theMDR). In October 2005,...
Sometimes the best artists emerge from the most unexpected of places. The East Coast of Canada is not particularly well-known for their rap scene (though they have a devoted one, to be sure), but out of Halifax, Nova Scotia emerges Jesse Dangerously. The rapper, beatmaker, and drummer crafts alternative hip-hop tracks out of obscure sampling, clever lyrics, and a touch of rhythmic unorthodoxy. Jesse started his career with his solo debut, entitled Break, in 1996, but his major splash in the scene has come since the turn of the millennium. Since then, he has released three solo albums, hosted a...
Dangerous Muse are an American electropop duo based in New York. The duo comprises vocalist Mike Furey and keyboardist/programmer Tom Napack, often depicted using a keytar. Though the pair identify as gay, they wish to portray a new all-inclusive "ambisexual" dimension (though not bisexual). The duo originally met in 2003 through a mutual friend during the production of The Who's Tommy at Fordham University in New York. Furey had the idea to write a song about a girl who liked him. This marked the beginnings of Dangerous Muse with their first single, The Rejection. A rough version was recorded in...

Dangerous Toys was a hard rock band with southern rock undertones from Austin, Texas, achieving a short but sweet burst of success in the midst of the 80s glam metal boom. Formed in 1987, the band released four studio albums and a live album before officially disbanding in 1999. Notable for their comical 'monster clown' iconography, they have reunited a few times over the years for one off shows but have no official touring or recording plans. Over the years, the group has become perhaps best known for their 1989 tune "Scared", an Alice Cooper inspired track featuring the refrain...
