Osmani Soundz originally started out as Osmani Knights in 1988 as a Sound System and a Collective of Djs , Rappers , Dancers and Graphics Artists based in Londons East End. Working through their local youth club PYO (Progressive Youth Organisation) at the Davenant Centre (Whitchapel), they established themselves organising partys in Youth Clubs,Colleges ,Schools around the East End… aswell as Dj workshops with young people of the area. By the late 80’s Osmani Soundz Dj sets were about experimenting and mixing with old 12’’ - 7” records ranging from Classical Indian, Bollywood soundtracks and Baul Music and combining them...
