Beecher was a band from Manchester, England. Formed in 2001 by Daniel Plant (guitars), Will Shaw (drums) and David Hopkinson (bass), they played a mix of Metal, Hardcore Punk and Rock. The original intent was for the band to be a doom metal experiment but the recruitment of vocalist Edward Godby and guitarist Mark Lyons made a full band line-up. After the recording of a 5-track demo CD, the band released the Resention Is a Big Word EP for Nottingham based In At The Deep End Records in 2002. Vicky Beeching is a young Christian songwriter, musician and worship leader. She is classically trained in a number of instruments but plays piano and guitar in her music. She studied at Wycliffe Hall under scholars such as David Wenham and Alistair McGrath and has a Masters Degree in Theology from Oxford. She has also studied under well-known worship leader Brian Doerksen alongside other Vineyard artists such as Brenton Brown and Kathryn Scott. After living for a time in the United States, she has now returned to England to pursue doctoral studies in theology. .

Ben Westbeech is a male DJ, singer and producer originating from Bristol, but who now lives in London, UK. Trained as cellist and vocalist, his influences include House, Soul, Jazz and hip hop. Ben gave a CD containing his first single "So good today" to a friend in London. Two months later she played it to Gilles Peterson who snapped it up.
