Garrison were a post-hardcore punk band from Boston formed in 1996. Incorporating elements of math rock, shoegaze, and emocore into their sound, the band achieved moderate success, playing several hundred concerts in the United States, Great Britain, and Japan, as well as releasing two albums with Huntington Beach record label Revelation Records along the way. Garrison Starr is a singer-songwriter who originally hails from Hernando, Mississippi; a suburb of Memphis, TN. She was born on April 29, 1975. Her first album "Pinwheels" was recorded shortly after her high school graduation. During a 1 1/2 year stint as a student at Ole Miss, Starr met and forged a friendship with fellow artist and producer Neilson Hubbard. To this day, Starr and Hubbard frequently collaborate. Miss Garrison is a band formed in 2008 in Santiago, Chile by Francisca Straube, Matías Lopez and former member Tomás Rivera. The first album, Tire Y Empuje, was released in April 2010 and they will be working on a second one soon. In the live shows, after Tomás Rivera left, they get help from the members of Picnic Kibun. Miss Garrison became more famous in September 2010 after opening one of the Crystal Castles concerts in Chile. .

Matthew Garrison was born June 2, 1970 in New York. Here he spent the first eight years of his life immersed in a community of musicians, dancers, visual artists and poets. After the death of his father Jimmy Garrison (John Coltrane’s bassist), his family relocated to Rome, Italy where he began to study piano and bass guitar.
