Trudy is an ongoing experimental project in vocal improvisation, made up of Jamie Charlton, Will Lloyd and Mike Ronan. The format of Trudy at this point is very nonspecific, so that we can play around with whatever instrumentation or technical setup we like, or invite other players. Currently we are mainly vocal; but Jamie plays (often bowed) electric guitar and Mike the trumpet or euphonium. We tend to find the process very cathartic, fun, and freeing. Trude Herr war eine beliebte Schauspielerin, die über einige Jahre mit ihrem "Theater im Vringsveedel" das Kölner Publikum begeisterte. Hierbei kann sie für sich in Anspruch nehmen, mit ihren Theaterstücken das Volkstheater ins 20.Jahrhundert katapultiert zu haben. Herrs Theater verkörperter den Gegensatz zum klassischen Volkstheater, wie es im Millowitsch-Theater bis heute gespielt wird. Berühmt wurde Trude Herr durch ihre Auftritte in deutschen Nachkriegs-Komödien wie "Drillinge an Bord" und "Ohne Krimi geht die Mimi nie ins Bett".
