There are plenty of bands with the name Auschwitz.
One of the projects with this title was ran in Riga, Latvia, and had nothing to do with racial/ political subjects.
It was an industrial music formation with a core member Wilsons (keys, sampling, generators, vox) and other allies, mailny Melne (violin, keys) and Koils (guitar, keys, vox) in different it's periods. .
Second Auschwitz were formed in february 1984. The first time they came together was may of the same year. They didn't bother to practice but recorded their songs straight to cassette. None of the first members (the band had several personel changes in their 3-year existence) ever had played an instrument.
From may 1984 to november 1986 the band released eight cassettes -, they never made it (to my knowledge) to vinyl.
Bandmembers later surfaced in hardcore outfit TOTAL RHYTHM CONTROL, trashcore unit SKHÖDER and new wave band TUPELO HONEY.
