jd meatyard is a new singer songwriter on Liverpool's Probe Plus label... Glasgow born but now, apparently, living in Amsterdam. The songs on the self titled album just out (dec 2011) are heartbreaking songs of loss and astute takes on the contemporary condition. listen to 'Olive Tree' for as minimal and cutting take on the Palestinian struggle, and to 'Its Alright Ma...I'm Only Screaming' for a bleak, desperate account of depression... and 'Sad Song of A Singer Songwriter'... a pithy debunking of the singer songwriter sensitivity... like HMHB's 'i'm a sensitive outsider' (and i want the whole world to know)....
