Somatic are a boy/boy/girl called Damien, Bernie and Fleur, the sort of lineup which invites immediate comparisons with the likes of One Dove, Saint Etienne and, not a million miles away from the ground they tread, Portishead.
Somatic aspire to make cinematic, widescreen music, and to this end all of their songs seem to be cushioned in huge brass and string arrangements, the kind of thing Neil Hannon (Mr Divine Comedy) might reject for being too elaborate. Sometimes they play the cheese card a little too strongly as well, some songs veering too closely to the likes of Combustible Edison...
Incepted in 1998, San Francisco based Irish artist Neil O' Connor began Somadrone as a project to document some home recordings from old tape machines and 4-track recorders. This was released in 1999 as a 10” single limited to 100 copies. The latter years involved playing, recording and touring in Europe and America with Redneck Manifesto, Connect Four Orchestra, Goodtime John and Jape.
Instruments such as Vibraphone, Harp, Theremin, Indian Drone Machines and Analogue Synths feature on 2005’s “Fuzzing Away To A Whisper” released Sept 05 on Trust Me I’m a Thief records. These collections of recordings are 2 CDs...
The Dyspsomaniaxe were an all-girl British psychobilly band. They were managed by Tony Gilmore, the original bassist with The Klingonz. The Band released only one album before splitting up.

Somali Yacht Club is a psychedelic stoner rock trio from Lviv, Ukraine. The band mixes elements of stoner rock, psychedelic rock, shoegazing and post-metal in their music. In August 2011 released their first four-song EP "Sandsongs". In September 2014 released first full-length "The Sun" and toured Europe for the first time.
