Damien Robitaille (born 1982) is a french musician from the small town of Lafontaine, Ontario. Robitaille started his music career at a young age, when he started playing the piano when he was eight years old, and later in his childhood he learned to play such instruments as the trumpet, guitar and violin. Later on, Robitaille attended the Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo to study classical music. While at Sir Wilfried Laurier, he was a member of the rock band The Mezameeze (made to sound like "Mes Amis" in french, meaning "My Friends"). Halfway through his university career he was...
Obitus was formed in May 2000 by Anders Ahlbäck (Waning) and Johan Huldtgren (who were also members of the thrash/death metal band called Vaticide which later would morph into Clonaeon). Obitus next endeavor was to appear on 4-way split, Gather Against Humanity, with USBM hordes Kult ov Azazel & Humanicide as well as French Thy Lord. After countless delays the split was finally released on Christcrusher Productions. During 2001 and 2002 Obitus worked...

With its powerful horn-driven arrangements and the piano playing of Wole Bucknor, the group laid the foundations for what evolved into the sounds of Afro-beat. The original lineup of Koola Lobitos was assembled in the late '50s when Kuti was a student at Trinity College of Music in London, England. By 1961, the group was one of London's most popular rhythm'n'beat bands. Returning to Nigeria, in 1963, Kuti formed a...
