Punk band from Portland, OR (U$A). The band “Hammered Grunts” was established in early 2004, to the dismay of neighbors and music snobs alike. The group consisted of four friends dedicated to being involved and making music in the local Vancouver and Portland punk rock scene. After many live shows and experiences, the band recorded and released their own 15 song street punk self titled album. 30 Odd Foot Of Grunts was actor Russell Crowe's musical band before he began a solo career in 2005. The name of the band comes from a phrase heard by Russell Crowe during post-production on the movie Virtuosity. Apparently, some dubbing was required for a fight scene; since time is sometimes measured by length of film in the movie industry, Crowe was asked to provide the eponymous "30-odd foot of grunt". Gruntruck was a rock band formed in 1989 in Seattle, Washington by Ben McMillan and Scott McCullum, both previously from Skin Yard. Tommy Niemeyer from The Accüsed and Tim Paul, previously of Napalm Beach and Final Warning, rounded out the initial, classic line-up.
