Combining elements of punk, gypsy music, and Brechtian cabaret, Gogol Bordello tells the story of New York's immigrant diaspora through debauchery, humor, and surreal costumes. Leader and singer Eugene Hütz's taste in music was spun out of black-market tapes of the The Birthday Party and Einstürzende Neubauten in his native Ukraine. After being evacuated to Western Ukraine in 1986 following the Chernobyl disaster, Hütz became enamored of the mystical, outsider qualities of gypsy music. Sundancer is the alias of Peter Dani, an upcoming drum and bass producer/dj hailing from Brasov, Romania. Following an early age attraction to music, coupled with a need to get involved, he starts producing experimental trance and techno as a teenager. However, after failing to gain significant attention and grip, he gives up his dream and returns to simply enjoying music. Two years later, as he attends more and more raves, he discovers drum and bass, which comes to him as a breath of fresh air. This stimulates his creativity and gives him a strong impulse to start producing again....

Sexy Dancers used to be a Czech funk band founded in 1998. The founder was composer and producer Roman Holý. The band released their only album in 1998 - 2CD Butcher's On The Road including singles: 04205, Some People and Slim Jim. The band had been concerting for a short time, before came apart. One of the reasons was it's composition. Similarly to J.A.R. Sexy Dancers were formed by artists from other existing bands and music projects. GOGO13 started in St. George, Utah in late 1993. Fronted by Parker Jacobs, they recorded a little, toured a little, and then geographicly split up. It's original members went on to form THE SOULUTIONS (Cedar City,UT), ATTABOY SKIP(Las Vegas, NV), GO-TRON 13(Provo,UT) and THE AQUABATS!(OC, CA) Many years later, in Huntington Beach, CA., GOGO13 reunited as a fluke to promote an album put out by the Aquabats', "Horchata Records" label called RICE CAPADES.
