Grynner (rhymes with "miner", real name Macdonald Blenman) is a popular calypsonian from Barbados.[1] Like his compatriot Mighty Gabby, his songs often feature political and social commentary. He has been named the Barbados Crop Over Road March "Tune of the Crop" winner seven times (1983-85, 1988-90, and 1998). .

Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, 21-year-old MC Grynch first discovered Hip-Hop in elementary school when a classmate let him borrow a tape of Dr. Dre's classic, The Chronic. From that point on, it was a wrap as he became completely immersed in Hip-Hop music and culture, listening to and studying everything from Snoop Doggy Dogg's Doggystyle to Mobb Deep's The Infamous. Emm Gryner (born June 8, 1975, Sarnia, Ontario, Canada) is a Filipino-Irish pop singer-songwriter based in Canada. She spent her childhood in Forest, Lambton County, Ontario. In 1995 she moved to Toronto, and the following year formed her own label, Dead Daisy Records, through which she released her first album, The Original Leap Year.
