Inkari performs the traditional music of the Andes, rooted in the cultural heritage of the Incas and their descendants. The dynamic and mystical songs that they play are interpreted through their hearts as a gift to the ears of the listener, and are sung in both Spanish and Quechua (the language of the Incas). Their sentiments are strong and genuine. The beautiful intensity of Inkari's music reflects the clarity, profundity and hint of sadness mixed in with the happiness found in the highlands of Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador. Maninkari is an experimental ambient / psychedelic with highly reference to free folk duo from Paris, Île-de-France, France formed in 2006 (?). The original linuep consists of Olivier Charlot and Frédéric Charlot. Both from instrumental post-rock band Bathyscaphe. Improvisation enables Maninkari to reach points that are more or less abstract or melodic that are sometimes difficult to reach with composition. Of course both can work. Most of the tracks are improvised, arrangements were added to certain parts and also reconstructed, for example “participation mystic”.
