Nanuchka is a New York City based group comprised of bassist Yula Be'eri (formerly of The World/Inferno Friendship Society), guitarist Roy Gurel, and drummer Shlomi Lavie. Their sound varies from song to song. Yula's voice, compared to that of an "angry Kate bush," soars over both surf-rock guitars and soothing mandola melodies alike. Anton Nanut, born September 13, 1932, is the best known Slovenian conductor of classical music. He was a professor of conducting at the Ljubljana Academy of Music and the artistic leader of the Slovene Octet in its most productive years. Nanut has been collaborating with over 200 orchestras and had made over 200 records with different labels.
