Formerly interested in Hip Hop, Robot Redford became aware of Drum and Bass in early 1998 when listening to Intelligent/Liquid tracks by pioneers like Marcus Intalex, LTJ Bukem, Solid State and others. Being a fan of 80s pop and electronic synthesizer music as well, he tries to implement its character into his production, aiming for the more relaxed side of drum and bass. Working in the film and television business since the late 70s, composer Jonathan Alfred Clawson (or simply, J.A.C.) Redford was born in Los Angeles in 1953. He has composed music for film, television, theater, ballet, as well as chamber and choral music. In addition, he has been guest teacher and lecturer at USC and UCLA.
