Karmen Stavec (born December 21, 1973) is a Slovene musician and pop singer. Karmen was born in West Berlin, at that time part of West Germany, to Slovene parents. After graduation she came to Domžale, Slovenia, where she joined the dance duo "4 Fun". She also began to study Germanic studies at the Philosophical Faculty at the University of Ljubljana. In 1998 she started her own solo career. Kid Moxie is a Los Angeles-based music project with infective songs that blend powerful beats, pop sweetness, haunting melodies, and wry lyrics - a combination that lead the Kid to coin the term “Gutter Pop”. In the 2007 EP release, Human Stereo, the Kid crafted songs through a variety of pop, new wave, dance, and classical influences that mesh new and classic synths, slide guitar, violin and electronic beats. Moxie Oxid ... is the solo project of Jim Persson-Melin (Last.FM user jPeMelin). Jims other projects include Body Mass Index, Men+Mathematics, Analogue Media and Acrope. During the isolation in 1994 of one year of studies in a small school in the countryside far outside Uppsala, Jim was hammering out some social discontent on his Ensoniq ESQ-1 synthesizer and abusing the hospitality of a good friends living room studio and 4 track porta whenever he got the chance to get into Uppsala.
