Christian music is a broad term, covering every style of music with a Christian message.
The style most often associated with the term is the "Praise and Worship" style, which features recordings of classic or modern songs directly related to Christianity.
Since the 1970s in particular, however, Christian musicians have been found playing a wide range of music - from country and folk music through to hip-hop and heavy metal. Many of these artists have been Christian throughout their careers, while others either converted to Christianity or became "born again" during their years of fame. .
