Lolicore is a term supposedly coined by LOLI RIPE in 2006 to describe their music. Heavily relies on sampling, similarily to mashcore.
Most of the stuff that've been labeled as lolicore was close to speedcore and noise, with the "loli" part referring either to high-pitched vocals (e.g. from japanese songs, anime opening themes etc) or samples from anime (or both).
Since then, lolicore has been shifting more and more towards breakcore (2009) and even less serious noisy stuff (2012).
Despite the connotations, references to actual lolicon were seldom and mostly visible in albums by LOLI RIPE and some later releases by musicians closer to noise.
