Surf Punk is what happens when hardcore punk and its derivatives are influenced by early surf music musicians, most notably Dick Dale. The genre is quite similar to skate punk, probably because both of the genres were developing simultaneously on the West Coast of the USA.
(All of these examples of surf punk bands are arguable because everything is arguable)
