Vocaloid - computer software, developed by Yamaha Corp. Program imitates human voice, singing in English, Japanese, Spanish and Korean, according to melody and text, entered by user. Stress of the pronunciations, effects such as vibrato and tone of voice can be changed.
The program is intended for professional musicians as well as light computer music users. The programmed vocals are designed to sound like an idol singer from the future. Each Japanese Vocaloid is given an anime-type mascot.
