Pantychrist formed in 2003 after the chance encounter of four women in a ladies washroom. Upon discovering they all had similar musical aspirations the duo of guitarist Izabelle Steele and vocalist Danyell DeVille joined bassist Amy Hell and drummer Patty Rotten in forming an all female hardcore punk group. A couple of different names were considered before deciding to call the outfit Pantychrist. Longstocking were a Los Angeles queercore-punk band. Formed in 1995 by singer and guitarist Tamala Poljak, the group had originally been a guitar and drums duo. Tamala had previously been in the bands Oiler and Fleabag. The group released several singles, including a split single with Team Dresch on Sub Pop, before disbanded in 1997, just after the release of their debut album, Once Upon A Time Called Now. Pantytec is one of the flagship acts of Perlon, the techno-house label co-founded by one-half of the duo, Zip. Along with partner Sammy Dee, Zip released a trio of singles and EPs throughout 1998 (Into the Duster), 1999 (Glimpse), and 2002 (Elastobabe), prior to the first full-length, Pony Slaystation (also released in 2002). Pantytec have also leant remixing services to Pluramon and have made appearances on Richie Hawtin's DE9: Closer to the Edit and Herbert's Let's All Make Mistakes. Open Work Stocking is a one man music project from St. Petersburg, the famous music capital of Russia. He is into a special electronic music style consisting of analogue noises, synthetic sounds and break beat which creates a sentimental atmosphere. He also backs this atmosphere with his piano melodies. In 2008, he signed to Fluttery Records and he took his place in the label catalogue. .
