P-Model was a Japanese new wave/techno-pop band started in 1979 by frontman Susumu Hirasawa. The band has included a number of lineup revisions over the years, but Hirasawa has always remained at the helm of creative operations. P-Model officially disbanded in 1999 (20 years after its formation), although many of its members continue to release solo albums and collaborate with each other on different projects. .

Model Rockets were a power pop and garage rock influenced melodic rock band from Seattle, Washington. They were active from the mid-90s until around 2004. They released four albums: Hilux (1993), Snatch It Back and Hold It (1996), Tell the Kids the Cops Are Here (2002), and Pilot County Suite (2003). Musically, they are similar to the groups Posies, Fountains of Wayne, Shoes, and The Minus 5. .
