Failsafe are a melodic rock band based in and around Preston, UK, whose current line up has been together since 2005, although the foundations of the band were laid in 2000. So far they have released two albums (What We Are Today in 2005 and The Truth Is… in 2008) which were welcomed with a huge amount of excellent reviews across the UK and Europe, major UK festival appearances, a great deal of national radio/tv airplay. Illusion Of Safety has been the ongoing project of Daniel Burke since 1983, working with numerous individuals in various combinations of one to 10 members. Alan Haven was one top organists during the 60's. He even appeared on the 'Top of the Pops' with only a drummer, Tony Crombie. Alan caused quite a stir by, not only playing playing his own bass on the pedals, but by actually starting his rendition of "It's a Hard Day's Night" with a statement of the tune on the bass pedals. Most organists played Hammond organ but Alan used the Lowery valve organ. Alan still gives the odd concert. He now lives in Spain. (2010)

De Havenzangers was een Nederlandse volks- en feestmuziekband uit de stad Apeldoorn.
De Havenzangers werd opgericht in 1977. Aanvankelijk waren zij gespecialiseerd in oud-Hollandse zeemansliedjes. De band is vooral in het Nederlandse schnabbelcircuit bekend, maar heeft eind jaren tachtig ook in de Verenigde Staten en Canada getoerd.
Bekende nummers waarmee De Havenzangers zich populair heeft gemaakt, zijn onder andere Greetje uit de polder (1979), Daar bij de waterkant (1979) (beide zijn oorspronkelijk van Eddy Christiani), 's Nachts na tweeën (1983), Trouw niet voor je veertig bent (1987) (oorspronkelijk van het Lowland Trio) en Oh Mona (1987).
